Based on the historical materials and referring to the architectural structure of the well-known Temple home and abroad, in 2005, Chongsheng Temple was restored and reconstructed on its formal address, as the former royal monastery of the Kingdom of Nanzhao, Dali, the restored Chongsheng Temple, the nation’s biggest Chinese Buddhism monomer temple, neighbors Yingle Peak of Cangshang Mountain in the west and Erhai Lake in the east. The whole architectural complex looks well-proportioned and magnificent with rises and falls, which gives full expression to the grand and solemn manner as the royal monastery.
