Gold Statue of A Cuoye in Lacquered Niche
The gold statue of A Cuoye Kwan-yin, 8.5cm high, is inside of a lacauered niche. With a high hair bun, a coronal (with a Buddha on) on head and a necklace around neck, hair hanging down, the statue is half-naked and keeps a finger posture of “Miaoyin Tianyin”. Thin waist, standing straight, and feet bare, it wears a long skirt around the lower part of body, and has bracelets on both arms and wrists. There is also a waistband with a flower-shaped knot, and a lotus-flower seat under its feet. The backgroud is also made of gold, with flame-grains outside and engraved honeysuckle flower patterns inside. The lacquered niche is 10.8cm high, 5.3cm long in bottom, and 2.7cm wide. It is purplish red and light. There are lotus and pearl decorations on top of the niche. The niche door is arch-shaped, and the seat is of “Xumizuo” style, which is narrower in middle.
